They are: Stickers (~15 pt), Hammertime (12), Tank (10), Moe (10), Bruce (8), Sampson (9), Timmy (9) and Mick (8). Other legal bucks include Bill (8), Kink (8), Tink (7), Slick (7), Link (6), and Littleman (6). With cameras still up on new scrapes in different areas, I am anticipating this list will grow over the next couple weeks! I still have some archery openings available between October 31st and November 12th as well as several openings through the rifle season between November 28th and December 10. 2016 Allegheny National Forest Spring Gobbler Hunt This hunt started on Thursday night. I went out at 6 pm to walk an ATV trail trying to hear a gobbler as he went to roost. At 7:35, I saw 3 birds walking down a side trail about 150 yards away, I immediately hit the ground and crawled to a tree at the corner of the trail intersection. There was a long beard that went into strut several times, a hen and what appeared to be a smaller gobbler. At 7:45, the hen flew up to the left of the trail, the smaller gobbler followed her a minute later, and finally, the long beard roosted to the right of the trail at 7:50. Bring a Child Hunting! Introduce your child to the great outdoors and the magic that is the hunt. 7 years old and under may only use a mentor's tag for deer and turkey or hunt squirrels. Between the ages of 8 and 11, they receive an antlered deer tag and a spring turkey tag. They may also hunt squirrels and use a mentor's tag for an antlerless deer.
